The trimmer keeps your opening and final toast, then removes complete middle sentences until the draft fits. Review the result before speaking.

How many words fit in a speech?
Most people deliver a toast at about 110 to 150 words per minute. A calm 60-second toast is roughly 110 words; a natural two-minute toast is about 260 words. Pauses, laughter, and emotion all add time, so rehearse once out loud after using the estimate.
The automatic trimmer removes complete sentences from the middle and preserves the opening and final toast. It does not rewrite your story, so read the shorter version once and restore any detail the audience needs.
If cutting feels painful, use the one-story rule from our complete toast-writing guide: one emotional point, one story that proves it, and one clear ending.
