A private, practical rehearsal loop
Start with one complete take, then use the actual duration and words-per-minute readout to decide what to change. The recorder creates a local browser audio object for playback and download; ToastBuddy does not upload or retain your audio.
Live recognition is a browser capability, not a ToastBuddy transcription service. Some browsers send recognition audio to their own remote speech provider, and some do not support it at all. If recognition is unavailable, recording, the timer, manual card advance, and pasted-text analysis still work.
Paste cards separated by blank lines to see draft coverage, skipped or improvised phrases, and opening and ending coverage. When browser recognition returns multiple segments, ToastBuddy can estimate pause and card timing from callback arrival; treat those timing details as a rehearsal signal, not a transcript-grade timestamp.
